Looking for a place to live in Hanoi, how does it work with an agent?

The housing market in Hanoi is a bit different from some other countries. One house can be advertised by some different agents or agencies and sometimes it is at different prices on a same property. Expats can choose to work with many different agents and agencies at the same times, but you should choose a good agent to work with, because all the agents may have the same database and will show you the same houses on different visits, this duplication of visits will be a waste of time for you. Once you like a property and want to rent it, normally, you should work with the agent who first shown you that house, unless that agent offer you a higher rental rate than the later agents or the first agent fails with the negotiation to offer you a good deal.
The agent / agencies in Hanoi get the commission from the landlords, thus you do not have to pay any commission fees even when they take you around to visit properties and until you decide to rent a place, it is 100% free of commission for Tenants.
You might be worried that since the agent get commission from the landlord, they would work for the landlord or overred prices. Yes, it can be happen like that way, depending on the agents and business ethics of the agencies. With Viet Long Housing, you will have great experience, we will compete and provide you with the best prices at our best services and supports eventhough we get commission from the Landlords too, but we work with you (Tenants) as a team.
Chosing to work with Viet Long Housing will save your time and budget.
