I have just found a great place through this agency. I chose it based on the other reviews and I can only agree with them. I've only been in Hanoi 3 weeks and was expecting finding something to be a real pain. I have to say that I felt all of the guys at Viet Long dealt with me honestly and were genuinely trying to get me what I wanted even though I wasn't really sure myself. San sorted out the bilingual contract and really helped me through the process, keeping me informed with calls and emails. All in all, it is a very professional agency.

I had a bad experience with a very pushy agent before contacting Viet Long, and what a change was San! He is patient, knows many places and he will still help you with problems as long as you stay in the place he introduced.
He does not push you, he even bargains the price for you, he prepares the contract and makes sure that everything is legal.

I think the greatest testament to someone's professionalism and skill is whether you use them again when you are in need of the same service. Indeed this week I began to search for a new house in Hanoi and the first person I contacted was San. San helped me find the current house I live and in a just a few days the new house I will be moving into. San is not only extremely friendly and speaks good English but he actually listens to what you want and doesn't try and pressure you into anything less. I always give friends San's number when they move into town and I will continue to do so in the future. San is definitely the first person every expat should call when looking for a place.

I had a great experience working with San. Originally had another agent, recommended by someone at work, who was very aggressive and pushy. San listened to what I wanted and showed me exactly what I requested. He was not pushy and did not try and pressure me into taking any specific apartment. He was very patient with me and was a great facilitator between me and the owner. San also follows up after you move in. Great english, great guy. I would recommend him for sure.
